Kindness. It’s basic, isn’t it?
Unless you’re 1970s pub rock supremo Nick Lowe, who told us: “You’ve got to be cruel to be kind.”
Knickers to that, even if I do get what you’re trying to say, Nick.
No, kindness is where it’s at, but what am I bleating on about and what does it have to do with you?
A Day Of Kindness
It’s bizarre there’s a day set aside for us to be kind to one another, but today, 13th November, is just such a day.
Because today is World Kindness Day.
It gives us a chance to pack up our petty disputes, release fingers from buttons that could start a nuclear war and, for a day at least, forget who’s to blame for the staggering price rise of Freddo’s.
Okay, maybe we’ll never forgive that person, but we’ll pretend anyway.
You don’t need a grand gesture. A small act of kindness goes a long way. You could:
- Help an elderly person onto a bus
- Give a pound to a homeless person, or
- Smile and say good morning to a colleague who has been quiet lately
We all go through stuff we never tell anybody, and saying or doing something nice can make a person’s day.
Oh, and cake. Bake one and share it, that’s always a winner.
We’re Sharing The Kindness
We love you.
Phew, that’s us done, time to finish Stranger Things on Netflix.
We jest, of course.
We want to do our bit, so we pondered how to help your business. The nights were long and cold, mainly due to Kayleigh and I brainstorming on park benches at 3 am on windy nights, but that’s not important.
From today until the end of November 2017 there’s a 20% discount on all projects we take on.
Follow us on Twitter, use the hashtag #WorldKindnessDay and tell us how you’ve made somebody’s day!
