Losing my job. Surely that isn’t a cue for celebration?
Well, actually, it kinda is.
I wouldn’t usually be happy about being out of work, after all, like you I have bills to pay and a stomach to fill (mostly with pies and chocolate, preferably both).
However, losing my job is great news for you, which in turn is great for me too.
How losing my job is great for you
Basically – I’m going freelance.
Yep, I tried looking for jobs but came up with a big, fat zero.
So I decided to take the leap. No more security of regular paid work and guarantee the mortgage will be paid on time.
I may even have to make a bag of Revels last a month, but it’s a fantastic opportunity.
And working from home gives me:
- Time to write for you
Praise the Lord – no more fitting my writing in during lunch breaks, in the evenings or on weekends (though I will to meet deadlines).
Going full-time as a copywriter means I can now give you my full, undivided attention. Not that I don’t already, but instead of office politics, I’ll be sat in my home office working solely for you lovely people.
I’m a firm believer in fate and as one door hits you on the arse on the way out, another one opens.
It’s an exciting time. It’s a scary time.
But it’s a time I’ll dedicate solely to you.
