It’s not every day you get to work with your dream client. But after seeing a LinkedIn post I’d written about how I meditate to manifest working with Beano (with a load of silly pictures attached), they asked me to write a three-part series of LinkedIn articles called: Being A Kid Never Gets Old to tie in with their 85th Birthday celebrations.
They’re my dream client, so I said yes, obvs.
How I caught the attention of Beano
The following month, during a quiet day, I posted this on my LinkedIn feed:
Apparently, Beano were thinking about posting something on LinkedIn in the lead-up to the comic’s 85th Birthday aimed at adults never growing old, and my post landed at the perfect time.
So, instead of them writing it, they thought the best idea would be to get a super-fan, funny, copywriter for children’s brands living the Beano life to do it instead.
They sent the below reply, three days later I was on a call with the Editor and Head of Marketing, they gave me the title Freelance Mischief Maker and the rest is history.
